Our elderly residents have already discovered the Woodheyes experience, and celebrate their next chapter in life.  They know that our professional and caring staff are on hand whenever they are needed, day and night, everyday of the week.

We believe we are so much more than just a care home; we are a family.  We have created a supportive, friendly and comfortable environment, combined with our attention to detail makes us stand out from the crowd.   Our holistic approach towards our residents means that the focus is about them, and how they want to spend their day.

Located in Leicester Forest East, and close to the village of Kirby Muxloe, Woodheyes is an extended 1930’s character property that has been providing quality elderly care since 1985.

At Woodheyes our primary aims include the contentment and happiness of all our residents, who are all looked upon as one of our family.  Every resident is treated as an individual, and is encouraged to exercise choice in all aspects of their care and daily life. Residents are supported by our staff to lead as full and active lifestyle as possible.

Each resident has their own care plan which is designed specifically around their individual care needs and regularly reviewed with them.  A member of the care staff is individually assigned to update and liaise with residents and families to ensure the individual care plan is up to date.  We can arrange for additional services for all our residents such as Hairdressing, Chiropody, Optician and Dental visits.

Local GPs and District Nurses regularly visit the Home.  Medication is safely administered by a professionally trained senior member of staff, or if residents wish to self medicate then this will be risk assessed accordingly by the management team.

We have 36 individually furnished and decorated; all of which have ensuite facilities.  Two bedrooms are suitable for couples and four bedrooms have interconnecting doors for couples, if required.  Bedrooms are situated over two floors and accessed via a lift and two staircases to the first floor.

Although the bedrooms are fully furnished to a high standard with a divan or hospital bed, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, bedside cabinet, lamp and armchair, prospective residents are always welcome to bring personal belongings and small items of furniture if desired.  We will endeavour to ensure your bedroom is to your comfort. There are also additional occasional tables available if required.

TVs can be connected in all bedrooms and all bedrooms also have a nurse call system in place.
