Wellington House

Wellington House is a beautiful Victorian property which stands in its own grounds.

Established in 1988, a family run business providing a friendly and warm homely environment coupled with excellent nursing care.

The overriding philosophy of Wellington House is to provide the best quality of life and care for our Residents in a friendly and homely environment.

Our aim is to maximise Residents potential both psychologically and physically in order that the highest level of independence is achieved, as well as maintaining their rights to privacy and dignity.

Both Directors are Registered Nurses and work regularly “on the floor” in charge of a shift.

Jane, the Registered Manager, has worked at Wellington House for over 13 years.

Sally the Home Manager, worked in Trauma – Orthopaedics at the Bradford Royal Infirmary until joining Jane at Wellington House in 2004.

The Directors have a dedicated, hard working team behind them from administration, recreation, domestic, catering, handyman, nurses and care staff, to ensure a high quality and caring environment for Residents and their families.

The Nursing Home has achieved an excellent 3 star rating from the Care Quality Commission (please see our links page), we also gained the Quality Standards 3 criteria set by Social Services in the Bradford area and staff are fully trained in end of life and palliative care.
