Jah Jireh Maryport
Jah Jireh Maryport has been registered as a care facility with nursing accommodation for Jehovah’s Witnesses since 1992 and is owned and run by a Jehovah’s Witness family. We strive to provide a happy relaxed atmosphere for all to live and work in.
The care facilities comprise of a 20 bed care home with excellent ratings and 8 sheltered housing dwellings, all sharing the same mature gardens. Our immediate neighbour is the Kingdom Hall and within a very short walk there are hairdressers, minimarket and post office.
On the road outside the home there are bus stops with regular bus services to all the main towns in Cumbria. Maryport railway station is nearby.
All our fees are in line with Cumbria County Council rates.
The Jah Jireh Care Home
In our care home we strive to provide a happy, relaxed and caring environment with home cooked meals and baking giving a wide choice of menus. We have 19 en-suite bedrooms. All of our bedrooms can be personalised to your taste. There are 3 lounges, including a quiet lounge looking over the grounds and two large lounges with wide screen TV’s. The local congregation meetings are displayed live from the Kingdom Hall in one of the TV lounges.
All our staff are trained in caring for our clients and their various needs.
In the care home, we care for a wide range of disabilities and illnesses being well supported by the local medical practice and nurses are available to visit the home every day to care for nursing needs as required. We also care for younger adults who have various specialist requirements.
We have professionals that visit the home regularly to carry out chiropody and reflexology. A clothing company and a book/gift company also regularly visit to provide a service for the clients.
Activities both of spiritual and non-spiritual basis are held within the home on a weekly basis and the local ministers make regular visits to provide pastoral care. Trips for shopping or sightseeing are regularly planned.
The home can provide respite care occasionally when there is a vacancy.
