Westdene is a family owned and run residential home, which has been caring for residents since 1984. Our philosophy is to provide a place that our residents are proud to call ‘home’.

A place that our residents feel confident, safe and secure in. And that means taking the time to ensure that every resident’s need is taken care of, by friendly, caring and competent staff.

Our relaxed, homely environment compliments a quality care service, run by professionals. And we believe that for our staff to give the best care possible, they need the most up-to-date and relevant training and qualifications. This coupled with a strong understanding of the importance of creating an environment that is both warm and friendly makes Westdene one of the regions premier care homes.

At Westdene, to make a residents stay more pleasurable, we provide a range of personal care services. These include a hairdresser and chiropodist along with regular organised outings, activities and entertainment. We also encourage friends and relatives to join in, making it an experience for everyone to enjoy.

Westdene is a spacious detached building with a recent extension that was added in 1998. We have 29 rooms, of which 15 have en-suite facilities and one companion room. In addition, we have a purpose built sensory bathroom with spa bath.

There are two spacious lounges, both with flat screen televisions and loop system for those who are hard of hearing. You will always find our living areas warm, friendly and relaxing places to be.

Here at Westdene, our residents are also able to enjoy the use of a large south-facing garden. They can enjoy a drink on the patio area or take a walk to the sensory herb garden, or simply relax in the garden with friends and family.
