The Willows Nursing and Residential Home
The Willows Nursing and Residential Home is a family run independent Care Home, established in 1981 by the present family partnership. The Home specialises in the provision of professional quality nursing and residential care, respite and day care. The Willows and its experienced staff enjoys a good reputation for the quality of its service provision. It has earned a number of significant awards for the service, including the top Beacon level in the Gold Standards Framework, Investors in People Awards, and Leicestershire County Council’s Silver Quality and Dignity Awards.
The Willows is conveniently situated within a short distance of Market Harborough town centre, with local and national public transport links. We are ideally situated to offer care services to south Leicestershire and north Northamptonshire (including Corby, Kettering, Northampton, Desborough, Rothwell, Leicester, Oadby, Wigston, Great Glen, Kibworth and Fleckney).
Areas of expertise include care for adults diagnosed with dementia, sickness and physical disabilities, while the home is also equipped to carry out care for terminal illness.
Alongside professional care, The Willows goes to great effort to ensure that a satisfying and respectful living atmosphere is enjoyed by all, with choice and individuality at the heart of its service, as well as providing a varied and nutritious diet, and a wide selection of daily activities, including the internet and Skype.
Recognising some residents prefer the independence of a single room whilst others prefer the companionship of shared accommodation, the Willows Nursing and Residential Home offers 27 single bedrooms and 14 companion rooms– the majority having en-suite facilities. Each room is tastefully decorated. Residents are encouraged to make their rooms homely by introducing their own items of furniture, ornaments, pictures etc.
The Willows Nursing and Residential Home has four lounges and a dining area. The spacious lounges, with comfortable furnishings, TV’s and DVD players, are used to host our residents’ activities, entertainment and social gatherings arranged by our Activities Organiser and outside entertainers. Relatives may also be entertained privately in the Library Day Room. Our Conservatory Lounge is also available for meetings and private family celebrations.
The Willows has two dedicated computer stations specifically for our residents’ use where training is offered. Facilities include internet connection and SKYPE for communicating with family and friends both at home and abroad by arrangement.
We have four kitchens. The central catering kitchen where daily food preparation is undertaken, is supplemented by satellite kitchens on each of the home’s three wings. Basic facilities such as a hob, toaster and kettle are available so residents or family can prepare beverages and snacks.
The Willows Nursing and Residential Home complies with current CQC registration requirements, Fire Officer and Health & Safety Standards
