The Shrubbery Nursing Home

The Shrubbery Nursing Home is set in 3⁄4 of an acre of landscaped, mature tree-lined gardens and is located in close proximity to Kidderminster Town Centre.  There are now thirty two bedrooms which are furnished and equipped to a very high standard with most bedrooms having en-suite facilities. The Shrubbery has now had a new wing added where we have a further five beautifully appointed bedrooms, commanding beautiful views across the gardens and surrounding tree lined pathways, all with en-suite facilities.

Our in-house Activities Co-ordinator maintains constant contact with resident’s family and friends and invites them to attend any of the forthcoming activities and events that are here at the Shrubbery.
These events include all of the seasonal celebrations, our many birthdays, commemorative occasions, professional entertainers, charity events, choirs, crafts, film days, all types of music and a whole host of ideas to help our residents maintain their well being.

Our care

The Shrubbery Nursing home provides twenty four hour nursing care, under a qualified and experienced manager with a team of qualified nurses, care assistants and ancillary staff to support them.

We have our own local group of GPs but residents may continue to use their own GP if they wish to do so. A care plan is formulated for each resident on an individual basis; appropriate for his or her needs, this is agreed with the resident and other health care professionals.

Appointments may be made with the dentist, optician, chiropodist and any physiotherapy required. We also have a regular weekly visit from our hairdresser who looks after both our ladies and gentlemen’s hairdressing and grooming requirements.

Our caring and thoughtful staff contributes actively to promote individuality amongst our residents, to help them to achieve and maintain the maximum level of independence allowed by resident’s physical and mental health.
