The Gables Private Residential Home

The Gables Private Residential Home offers a range of residential services to meet your specific requirements. Our residential and retirement homes are ideal for elderly care, respite care and day care nursing.

We have a team of compassionate, caring and professional care givers who can look after all your needs. We arrange regular visits from the hairdresser, chiropodist, beautician, dentist and optician for our residents. We also provide garden plots for residents who are keen gardeners. Our aim is to provide all residents with a comfortable living experience that allows them to be independent and happy.

At The Gables Private Residential Home in Derby, we take great pride in providing comfortable, quality accommodation for our residents. The home has 28 single rooms, all meeting current standards. There are 9 rooms upstairs, 11 of which are en-suite, and 9 rooms downstairs, 5 of which are en-suite. We accept residents for long term respite care, as well as day care.

We have installed a nurse bell call system that’s available at all times. Stairs are not a problem as there is a shaft lift between two floors. Our kitchen is fully equipped, and has a 5* food hygiene rating. We aim to make your living experience with us as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

Social activities and events for residents

We recognise the importance of social activities and events for our residents, and organise a variety of in-house activities and parties to keep them busy and entertained. From birthdays and Christmas to Valentine’s Day and Easter, we organise fun parties that keep them engaged. Every year, we host our Christmas dinner at the Stuart Hotel Restaurant in Derby. Our residents usually enjoy visiting garden centres, as well as Matlock and Chatsworth. We also host a yearly garden fete and coffee mornings.
