The Byars Nursing Home is a small, family owned and managed, independent Care Home situated in an idyllic Trent Valley village.

With over 20 years committed to providing the highest levels of care at The Byars, the family who own and manage the Home have a personal daily involvement in the quality of the lives of the individuals who reside here. This is our only Care Home, we are a small Home and we are not part of a larger organisation. All our efforts are concentrated here at The Byars Nursing Home.

Registered Care Home

The Byars is registered to provide accommodation for older persons who require nursing or personal care. We are able to meet the needs of individuals experiencing dementia. The Byars is open to Private, National Health Service and Local Authority referrals.

Our Location

The Care Home is located in the small, picturesque village of Caythorpe, Nottinghamshire. We have views across the fields and hedgerows of the Trent Valley.

Accommodation at the Byars Nursing Home

Our Care Home has 30 single bedrooms. All of our bedrooms are on the ground floor enabling easy access to the lounges without having to use lifts or stairs. As well as our communal gardens each bedroom has an external door opening onto its own secure private garden area, we are able to support residents should they choose to grow flowers and plants in these areas. Each bedroom has its own en-suite wet room with shower and WC. The bedrooms are furnished but can be personalised with furniture, pictures or photos if desired.

Our communal gardens are easy to access, well maintained and provide a restful place for all to enjoy. The raised beds are filled with traditional plants and shrubs providing scent and colour. The gardens give interest throughout the seasons and are illuminated at night.

We have 4 separate ground floor lounges to choose from separated by attractive and interesting corridors. Each lounge opens onto the safe, enclosed communal garden areas. We also have dining areas, hair dressing salon and specialised bathrooms. The Byars has every facility that you would expect to find in a modern nursing home and more.
