Residential Care

Once the decision has been made to take up residence within Summerleaze Residential Care home in Exmouth everything will be centred around each resident’s individual requirements. Care plans are written on arrival with the help of the resident and family members thus giving us valuable information with regards to the clients likes, dislikes and medical history. Following this initial settling meeting an individual assistance package will then be tailored to their needs and specific requests that they might have.

Summerleaze Residential Care Home is a large detached Victorian house set back from the road with a large accessible garden and ample parking. Our residents have an attractive lounge to relax and socialise in giving them the opportunity to form new friendships. We also have a well stocked library with plenty of large print books, DVDs and cd’s which always prove popular. For those residents who like to keep up to date with technology we also have in room free wifi. We also have our own telephone system so residents are not tied into a contract.

All our bedrooms have en suite facilities, central heating with thermostatic valves and radiator covers. Rooms are decorated with furniture ( bed, chair, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinet, etc) and residents are also able to bring their own furniture if they so wish. Along with television points the rooms have a sophisticated 24 hour staff calling system. Our aim is to make our residents feel at home and cared for during their time with us.
