Description:
St Denis Lodge Residential Home
St Denis Lodge Residential Home is ideally situated in the stunning hilltop town of Shaftesbury, which is renowned for its historic buildings and breathtaking views of Dorset countryside. The town centre, which is a short, level walk from St Denis Lodge, has a variety of shops, tea rooms, good hotels and public houses as well as a post office, churches, an arts theatre, a hospital and a museum. Shaftesbury is a welcoming town with a warm community spirit.
St Denis Lodge Residential Home has been in the same ownership since 1989 and is a spacious and elegant Georgian House which has been thoughtfully converted to provide residents with a welcoming, enjoyable and comfortable home. Established gardens, full of year round colour, surround St Denis Lodge and are lovingly maintained. For many, being outside in the grounds or sitting under the pergola with afternoon tea or a book is a very special part of life at St Denis Lodge.
Through our qualified staff and beautiful surroundings we are able to combine the highest possible standards of care with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Residents can be as independent as they feel able to be – or they can depend on our team to help with living everyday to the full. Importantly 24-hour care is available to every resident.
Our aim is to meet the needs of every one of our residents, and provide a secure and supportive environment so that each person living at St Denis Lodge feels settled and confident in their surroundings.
Friends and family visiting St Denis Lodge…
We believe residents should be able to enjoy contact from friends and family at all times and for this reason visiting is totally unrestricted. In some cases accommodation can be made available for families. Alternatively there is a nearby hotel, which is only two minutes walk away.
Feeling at home at St Denis Lodge Residential Home
Our spacious, furnished, en-suite rooms are bright and airy with plenty of sunlight and lovely countryside views. We welcome residents to bring their own personal items of furniture if they wish to. Our rooms can be accessed by one of our two lifts and we have a 24 hour nurse call system in each room for the reassurance of our residents.
All rooms have their own bathroom and some are fitted with specialist equipment to meet individual requirements. There are television and telephone points throughout and Sky is available.
Washing and ironing are all taken care of and rooms are cleaned by our own staff. We also respect privacy and residents can lock their rooms if desired.
Our sitting room, dining room and conservatory all overlook the gardens and because they are south facing, they enjoy natural light and warm sunshine
