Description:
Southwoods Nursing Home
Southwoods Nursing Home has been established in Northallerton for many years, and many of our committed staff have worked here for a decade or more. Our residents benefit from healthcare from experienced carers and nurses who have built close working relationships of mutual trust with them, and the Home provides a warm, homely atmosphere in which to live.
Staff
Our manager is a registered general nurse (RGN) . There are an appropriate number of RGNs in the Home who provide 24 hour nurse cover. The RGNs are supported by a team of carers, senior carers, ancillary staff and an administrator who oversees the financial operation of the home.
All the staff have experience caring for people with a range of co-morbidities. The registered manager and all nursing staff are appropriately qualified and registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).
Staff performance will be monitored in accordance with current guidelines. Training, appraisals and supervisions will be provided for all members of staff to maintain our high standards and good practice. New staff are employed using a stringent recruitment procedure that involves interviews, reference collection and DBS checks.
