Southlands Rest Home

Southlands Rest Home is an established and privately-run residential care home for the elderly. It was founded in 1984 and is located a quarter of a mile from Redhill town centre. Southlands is owned and managed by the proprietors, each with over 20 years’ experience and expertise which covers most fields of nursing and the care of the elderly. It is a late Victorian property which has been extensively modernised. Care is provided on either a short-term, long term or daily basis.

The Home

Southlands Rest Home is registered with the commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) this is a national body that regulates care homes in England. We also conform to all of the latest government health, fire and safety regulations. We provide long term care for people age 60 years and older for all genders. We are registered for 19 residents, 7 of which can be suffering with mental disorder (MD), 5 of which can be suffering from dementia. As this may be our residents’ home for the rest of their lives, it is essential that they are happy and there quality of life is as high as can be attainable for them.

ACCOMMODATION

On the ground floor we have a spacious lounge with patio doors, opening up onto a patio area overlooking the garden. It is comfortably furnished and includes a widescreen television, video and DVD player and a stereo system.

Most of our rooms are single although we do have 4 rooms with en suite, 2 twin-bedded rooms for those who wish to share for comfort and closeness.
Accommodation is arranged on three floors which is served by a passenger lift. All bedrooms are fully furnished with comfortable furniture, a TV and phone point and the latest nurse call system.

Residents, are encouraged to bring small items of furniture and personal possessions by prior arrangement.
