Snydale Care Home
Built in the small village of Old Snydale in 1987, Snydale Care Home was the first purpost built Home in the Wakefield area, and still has the same owners from the time that it was built. We can provide 24 hour Nursing, Residential and Dementia care, on a long term or respite basis for up to 52 Residents, and we have superb facilities and an excellent reputation in the local community.
Snydale is a comfortable and well maintained home, with a pleasant private garden and ample car parking. Our food is great, and we are easily accessible from the M62, and on a regular bus route. You may find it helpful to click on this link to find out information about local buses:

Our staff team and level of care are our strength, and we work hard to constantly improve and be the best that we can be. We have a qualified nurse on duty at all times and the GP visits every week, and will also make additional urgent visits if required.
All of our rooms, except for three high dependency rooms are en-suite, with TV and telephone available as optional extras.

Minibus for Residents’ use, hairdressing salon, a locking safe for Residents’ use, medical treatment room, a wheelchair shower room plus other varied bathing facilities to enable all Residents to enjoy a bath, no matter what their disability, and two passenger lifts.
We also offer excellent food, with a choice of menus, we cater for all special diets, and we celebrate special occasions! We provide Birthday cakes, Fireworks on Bonfire night, and Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, including Christmas presents!
We have regular entertainment and individual and group led activities, including gardening, arts and crafts, horse racing, music therapy, knitting, bingo, and puzzles. We also have a large screen TV and video library, radio, newspapers and books and regular visits from a mobile clothes shop.
