Rosemont Residential Home provides residential care to the elderly (over 65). The care home aims to deliver a high standard of professional care at all times to the service users in our care. The care provision at Rosemont endorses a holistic approach which is sensitive to the needs of every service user.

Rosemont Residential Home is a warm and friendly home registered by the Care Quality Commission. It caters for long and short term care of people over 65 years of age, both male and female, who no longer choose to live independently in their own home.

Rosemont is a red brick, turn of the century gentleman’s villa. The Home, established in 1979 stands proud of the village of Newton Ferrers overlooking Noss Mayo across the beautiful river Yealm, a haven for yachts in the summer and enjoying the mild climate of the South Hams throughout the year.

The village of Newton Ferrers is fortunate in having a wide variety of shops and services including: Post Office, co-op store, baker, chemist, tea-rooms and an Inn. The mobile library visits weekly.

Rosemont has fifteen bedrooms, some en-suite and some offering superb views over the estuary. The Home is decorated to a high standard and has a policy of continued improvement. There is a stair lift to the first floor. The three quarters of acre gardens surrounding the home are attractive and well maintained and easily accessible to residents as part of their home.

Holy Cross Church like the shops is only a short walk away as is the bus stop for the more adventurous. There is a car park for residents and their visitors.

Arranged on two floors, the Home has 14 bedrooms. All bedrooms are individual and of varying sizes, tastefully decorated with co-ordinated soft furnishings. Residents are encouraged to bring their own personal items such as pictures, plants and ornaments.
