Prospect House Care Home

Prospect House Care Home is a purpose built care home where the team of dedicated staff provide a warm and friendly environment for up to thirty-three elderly residents with dementia.

Prospect House is a two storey purpose built residential home for those with dementia. It is located in a quiet residential area of Cudworth, Barnsley close to all local shops and amenities.

Accommodation – Prospect House has the advantage of being able to offer double accommodation should the need arise, in addition to providing 31 single rooms situated over two floors.

There are two lounges one on each floor, where you can see the displays of pictures and paintings made by the residents.

There are also two dining rooms, one on each floor, where a choice of menu is offered and where fresh, varied, nutritious meals are served. Special diets are catered for, in fact every conceivable attention to detail is given to ensure that our residents enjoy their food and receive a well balanced diet.

Other Services – The home operates a full time laundry service and specialist bathing equipment is available to assist the less mobile. There is a chiropodist, dentist, optician and hairdresser that regularly visits the home.

Activities – The staff at Prospect House Care Home are whole heartedly committed to providing daily in house activities in addition to visits by local groups and entertainers. They also arrange regular day trips and outings for all those at Prospect House. The staff are actively involved throughout the year in fund raising activities for the benefit of the residents.

Donna and her staff strive to provide an atmosphere where residents and visitors feel at home. Their aim is to encompass all those who walk through the door, make them feel at ease and part of the family. The home maintains community links and residents are encouraged to maintain their outside contacts and remain as independent as possible. Donna’s experience and knowledge is portrayed in the excellent understanding that both she and her staff have of the care needs of all her residents, resulting in the highest standard of care being given to anyone who stays at Prospect House.

All our homes provide an holistic approach to care, but are unique in tailoring the requirements of each resident to encompass their care, social, religious and cultural needs whilst ensuring they retain their individuality in a safe, supportive environment they call home.

We accept private, local authority or primary care trust funded residents either on a permanent or short term/respite basis. We also offer guidance on funding if requested.
