Orchardown Residential and Convalescent Home is based in Eastbourne within walking distance of the seafront. The building itself is situated near to the shops and all amenities, with its own parking at the front. The two large walled gardens which are at the back of the property are very quiet and peaceful and lead into a conservatory filled with an abundance of plants.

It is the ideal place for elderly residents who are still mobile to be able to access, the GP’s surgery, the library, the shops, the chiropractors and also the rail station are within 2 minutes. walking distance. This makes it easy for family and friends to visit and there is a Bistro just across the way – a lovely way to spend time with a resident away from the home.

Orchardown Residential and Convalescent Home is a very unique care home in the town centre of Eastbourne, catering for the elderly and within strolling distance from the renowned seafront with it’s magnificent pier and beautiful carpet gardens. It can accommodate 17 residents in single rooms, 15 being en-suite. All of the rooms have been carefully decorated to suit the needs of the individual and the whole place has a feeling of home from the minute you walk in the door. Accommodation is on three floors and there is a passenger lift for residents who cannot manage the stairs. There is a large lounge where residents can relax and next to this there is a television area where morning coffee and afternoon tea is served. The dining room is tastefully decorated in co-ordinating colours and leads into the conservatory where residents can sit and relax and look out at the garden.

Apart from the ensuite facilities there is an assisted bathroom, with hydraulic bath seat and an assisted shower room on the first floor.
