Oakview Residential Care Home
Oakview Residential Care Home is an owner-operated care home, situated in a residential area, within walking distance from shops, train station and the main village of Gatley. The home is registered for 12 beds and specialises in care provisions for persons over the age of fifty, with mental health needs. There are two en-suite rooms. There is currently no lift. Staff will give assistance with mobility as appropriate.
The ethos of Oakview Residential Care Home is to promote an environment and atmosphere as homely as possible, where it is essential for the residents to feel that Oakview is meeting their holistic needs. Residents, their families, social workers and other professionals are encouraged to participate in the assessment of needs, planning, implementation and evaluation of care. The care home aims to provide an environment and quality of care to enable residents to enhance their quality of life and to stimulate them to maximise their physical, psychosocial and spiritual well being.

Staff in the care home acknowledges that each Resident is a unique individual with differing physical, psychosocial and spiritual requirements. All Residents have the right to considerate, honest and respectful care.
Every resident is treated with respect, dignity, empathy and sensitivity to their individual preferences and choices without prejudice. The independence of every resident is encouraged and his/her autonomy promoted. A key worker is assigned to each resident. Assessment of needs, care planning, implementation of care interventions and evaluations of outcomes are carried out in partnership and collaboration with the resident, their relatives and other health care professionals. The care interventions are personalised to best meet the needs and preferences of the resident. There is a quality monitoring system in operation and we strive continually to enhance the standard of our care. |
