Mountbatten is a 30 bed privately owned and long established nursing home.
Mountbatten provides high standards of nursing care 24 hours a day. There is always a registered nurse on duty, supported by the proprietors Richard and Sally Brice and manager Sarah Collard, who has 24 years nursing experience and a degree in nursing studies.
Mountbatten works closely with GP surgeries and all local health services to ensure best possible care needs are met. We pride ourselves on our person centred approach and care plan for each individual with ongoing review.
Mountbatten also provides a range of complex care needs which the manager is always happy to discuss.
We operate an open visiting policy and family, friends and pets are always welcome to visit.

END OF LIFE CARE
Mountbatten specialises in providing care at end of life for residents with long term life limiting illness and terminal illness. We hold a home office licence for specialist medication that may be required at end of life to ensure comfort and dignity at a time when needed most. Mountbatten have achieved Gold Standards framework commend status, that underpins best care guidelines for end of life management.
COMPLEX CARE
Mountbatten can cater for residents with specialist nursing requirements. We care for people with tracheostomies, enteral feeding and subcutaneous hydration to name but a few.
Whatever your requirement please do not hesitate to speak with the manager who will assess nursing needs to provide a comprehensive package of care that suits the individual.
REHABILITATION
Mountbatten can facilitate a rehabilitation working closely with independent living teams to enable residents to return to their own home if they so wish.
We also offer respite care and transition beds from hospital to home if the person is ready to leave hospital but not quite ready to return home.
