Hill House
Hill House is a care home with nursing that is situated in the West Midlands; it provides a high quality, safe and personalised service that promotes choice, dignity, control and quality of life for all service users.
We specialise in supporting people with learning disabilities who require 24hr nursing support due to their complex needs and/or challenging behavior. Our experienced and qualified staff members, working in collaboration with local and regional health/social care teams strives to deliver high quality, progressive individualised care within a safe and homely environment.
Our care packages and treatment plans developed in partnership with the individual, their support network and multi disciplinary team ensure that all identified needs are met promoting empowerment, self awareness and rehabilitation.
Structured activities plans are created through the guidance of the nursing team, occupational therapist (ot) and speech and language therapy (slt) to stimulate and motivate individuals to achieve their identified goals.
We promote strong links with the local community empowering people to access local amenities, public transport and education opportunities where possible enabling social integration and aiding activity of daily living. The home also has a sensory suite that enables the team to support individuals with sensory needs in line with the requirements identified within the sensory profile assessment developed by the therapy team.
Hill House Accommodation
Hill House is a large three story town house situated in the outskirts of Birmingham, this Victorian building consists of 10 spacious bedroom areas that are developed in line with the individuals needs.
Each floor has a recreational area available that the service users can utilise to complete therapy and recreational activities or should they require a low stimulus environment away from fellow peers.
The home consists of a large communal dining area and living room that enables the services users to integrate with their fellow peers should they wish, the service also offers a training kitchen that supports the development of activities of daily living and rehabilitation.
The service has a specially designed sensory suite, this area utilised in conjunction with the assessments completed by the OT can aid the progression of service users with sensory needs aiding the team to identify how they perceive their environment and surrounding world and develop plans of care to support these outcomes.
