There are three lounges, one with a wide screen TV. Bathroom/shower rooms are fitted with hoists and specially adapted equipment and there are two chair lifts to the first floor.

Conservatory

Where the residents enjoy their meals and can welcome their guests. Modern, sturdy rattan furniture complements the up to date feel in the seating area.

Treatment room

A treatment room is available to enhance the services on offer. Hairdressing is available on a weekly basis, massage (by a local sports therapist) on a fortnightly basis and chiropody once every six weeks. District nurses, G.P.’s etc call on a regular basis (as and when required). We register with a choice of Practices: Northam, Wooda Surgery or Bideford. All provide us with an excellent level of care and commitment. An optician visits on six monthly basis. Clergy of all denominations are welcome to visit.

Food and Dining

Food is very important to us at Heron’s Lea. We pride ourselves on providing tasty home cooked meals on a daily basis, using local produce where possible. Individual tastes are taken into consideration and special diets can be catered for.

Meal times are looked forward to by our residents and numerous visitors have commented on the delightful aromas permeating through the front door!
