Hot Meals Delivery Service
We also provide a traditional hot meals delivery service for the elderly, disabled and convalescing for Havant and surrounding areas.
The management and staff at Fawnhope provide a highly professional long term residential and dementia care service for the elderly and offer a short term respite care service for convalescence and holiday stays subject to room availability.
We have a person centred approach to care which focuses on transforming the lives of our residents during their stay with us so they feel safe, well cared for, loved and able to enjoy their later years of life in a home from home, comfortable family environment. We also have an extensive activities and events program and friends and family are always welcome.
Our care home in Havant provides round the clock care, catering and accommodation for up to 19 residents in an idyllic, peaceful and quiet haven on the South Coast of Hampshire. We have built strong links within the local community and have supported many community projects including the Havant Passion Play event in Havant Park and we are registered as a Dementia Friends Organisation.
About Fawnhope Rest Home
Fawnhope Rest Home was first established in 1989 and provides residential care for the elderly over 65 years including specialist care for residents with a diagnosis of dementia, mental disorder or learning difficulty. We can offer permanent and short term respite stays and an individual tailored care package designed especially for you and your loved ones.
Our home is well maintained and furnished to a high standard and provides single and shared accommodation for 19 residents in a relaxing and caring atmosphere which gives you a real sense of home. Spacious and comfortable communal areas and gardens are available for all residents to enjoy all year round and visitors are always welcome. Special events and outings are arranged throughout the year for residents and family and friends are encouraged to take part. Our Residents
Our residents are at the heart of everything we do at the home and we recognise that each resident has individual experiences, needs and aspirations and strive to help them achieve their goals and live a comfortable and fulfilling life during their stay with us.
We aim to give our residents opportunities to participate in all aspects of daily life at the home with a varied activity program and consult them regularly on how the home is run at our residents’ meetings.
Our Staff and Management Team
Our dedicated staff team, led by Registered Manager Karen Webb with over 25 years’ experience all take time to get to know each of the residents and their families so they can establish a personal care plan.
All our staff are well experienced and highly trained in all aspects of elderly and Dementia care including Personal Care Plans, Medication Management, Nutrition for the elderly, Moving and Handling, Infection Control, Abuse Awareness, Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, First Aid and Fire Safety.
The management team are fully committed to staff training and development and observe recruitment policies and procedures which respect equal opportunities and protect the residents’ welfare during their stay and all employees are thoroughly vetted before employment.
