Description:
Fairdene Lodge
Fairdene Lodge is a beautiful residential care home in Brighton and Hove, where staff are committed to compassionately caring for older people suffering from dementia type illnesses. Kindness, sensitivity and respect are at the heart of what we do at Fairdene Lodge, and helping our residents live life their way is the value around which we’ve built our philosophy.
We believe in encouraging independence, recognising personal fulfilment, and giving everyone in our care the freedom of choice. Fairdene Lodge is a real home, and dedication has gone into ensuring everything from food to activities, to the decoration of private and communal rooms makes our residents happy, comfortable, and fulfilled.
To us, it’s vitally important that residents feel as at home as possible, which is why thought, care, and even input from residents themselves has gone into the decoration of each and every one of our 28 bedrooms. We’re able to accommodate up to 32 people, and each door is clearly numbered. With consent, photos can be attached to aid orientation.
Attention to navigation around the home is a priority that runs throughout Fairdene Lodge, with all 5 reception rooms individually themed so that residents can enjoy different surroundings.
Reception rooms are also furnished with dementia friendly rummage boxes, book cases, hat stands and areas of interest. These include vintage style items to trigger memories of one’s past.
Rooms
It’s our priority to make sure residents feel happy, comfortable and at home, so plenty of thought and care has gone into the design and decoration of each and every bedroom at Fairdene Lodge. Our comfortable accommodation is tastefully decorated, and designed to allow our staff to provide high standards of care. Wall mounted LCD TV’s are installed in each room, meaning that residents always have the option to enjoy a quiet afternoon of television in the comfort of their own rooms.
