Dovehaven Nursing Home is a part of Dovehaven Care Homes.
Dovehaven Nursing Home is a 40 bedded home caring for older people who require nursing care. We provide an excellent level of care in a friendly atmosphere and can offer both long term residential care and short term respite care.
All our residents have their care needs assessed prior to admission in order to develop a regularly reviewed care plan. We treat all of our residents as individuals and cater for their needs accordingly whilst preserving their privacy and dignity.
Located in the traditional Victorian town of Southport, Dovehaven Nursing Home is in a quiet and relaxing location, outside of the town centre close to the marina. Southport is a large retirement town and is ideally suited for older people requiring nursing care.
ACCOMMODATION
Dovehaven Nursing Home provides a professional but caring environment for all of our residents. The home consists of two fully refurbished Victorian houses linked with a connecting extension to create a single large building.
SERVICES
Dovehaven Nursing Home offers excellent facilities to make sure that our residents are looked after to the highest standard and to make their stay with us happy and comfortable. The home has an experienced hairdresser visit on a weekly basis. We also have the services of a visiting chiropodist on a regular basis. These services are not included but are offered at an affordable cost. We also have access to an NHS dentist and also a local optician both of which offer a domiciliary service to the home.
Our cooks serve a wide range of delicious and nutritious home cooked meals and are able to cater for any special diets or meal requirements. We have an open visiting policy and encourage friends and family to visit at anytime. Visitors are also welcome to join the residents for a meal in the dining room or the resident’s own room if they wish.
Our specially adapted minibus is used for regular resident outings and can also be used for pickups, hospital visits and to assist with the initial move to Dovehaven.
