Description:

Donness Nursing Home

Donness Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care for up to 34  people who, through illness or advancing age, are no longer able to care for themselves without the support and help that we are here to provide for them.

Donness Nursing Home was established by Yvonne and Paul Newton in 1981, extended and extensively refurbished in 1991 and extended again in 2004.

Our elevated position enables us to boast a spectacular view across the bay and surrounding areas. We are but a short distance from Westward Ho! Village, and on a main bus route to Bideford. Chiropodists, hairdressers and clergy visit on a regular basis. Prospective clients are welcome to spend a trial period before any commitment to long-term care, we recommend a period of two to four weeks.

Our aim is to provide a level of care appropriate to the degree of needs and respond to any changes rapidly and sensitively. We provide a homely environment for up to thirty-four elderly residents, which retains their individuality, independence and dignity. Our residents receive a high level of sensitive care and support.
