Located in Dartington, 3 miles from Totnes in the picturesque South Hams, Dawn Rest Home has been family owned and run since 1997.

We offer comfortable private rooms and spacious communal areas for social activities and dinning.

Dawn Rest Home is registered for 18 residents and offers accommodation over 3 floors, all accessible by lift. We are not registered for dementia care

There is one double occupancy room and 15 single rooms with en suite washing and toilet facilities. 1 further single room has ensuite washing facilities only.

Residents are encouraged to bring small items of furniture and other possessions to personalise their rooms.

Our aim is to provide care in a safe and homely atmosphere, whilst respecting the individuals privacy and dignity.

Dawn is located in the rural village of Dartington just 2 miles from Totnes , there are rural views from the rear and large gardens to both the front and rear of the home.

Bathrooms are available on each floor for supervised or unsupervised bathing and showering, depending on individual circumstances.

We have a choice of 3 lounges and a large dining room offering a relaxed and homely environment in which to enjoy mealtimes, watch television, listen to music or receive visitors. There is access from the dining room to a decked sun terrace overlooking the rear garden.

We offer a tempting and varied menu of locally sourced fresh food prepared by “Chef” in our own kitchens. Individual tastes and all special diets are catered for and meals may be taken in the Dining Room or in residents’ own rooms, as required.

Wifi internet access is available in all rooms
