At Charnwood Park, we place the rights of our residents at the forefront of our Philosophy of Care. We seek to advance these rights in all aspects of the environment and the services we provide. The home is run as an open and welcoming place to live for people of all backgrounds and walks of life, cultures and faiths. We are based in Barwell, Leicestershire.
Charnwood Park is a small privately owned care home situated on the border between Barwell and Earl Shilton, within easy reach of Hinckley, the surrounding villages and the M69/M6.
Because we cater for just 11 residents, we deliver exceptional levels of person-centred care within a ‘home from home’ environment where your loved one will always be treated as an individual. Their preferences, needs, privacy and dignity will be respected at all times and their independence will always be promoted and encouraged.
Our registered manager Sylvia Jones leads a highly trained, professional and motivated team who are dedicated and passionate about providing the highest standards of care through bespoke care planning.
The home is registered with the Care Quality Commission, Leicestershire County Council, Leicestershire Fire Brigade and Hinckley and Bosworth Environmental Health.

Bedrooms are individually decorated and can be further personalised with your own furnishings and possessions where space allows. Of course they are all centrally heated, double glazed and have radio nurse call system, fire detection, window security, vanity unit and TV point.
Meal times are an important part of life in our home and provide an opportunity for residents to socialise whilst enjoying a fresh varied menu of tasty nutritionally balanced food – all prepared in our own kitchen using the freshest ingredients. Dietary needs along with likes and dislikes will be discussed during pre-assessment.
Our Staff
All our staff are employed under a rigorous process which enables us to find the best candidates for the job. All our care staff have, or at least are working towards an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care. Likewise our catering staff all have NVQ Level 2 in catering and hospitality.
We are committed to keeping our staff up to date with changing procedure and legislation using a continuous staff training programme.
Our staff are passionate and committed to providing the highest standards of care. We keep our staff happy and motivated to ensure continuity.
Our catering staff provide a traditional and varied menu of delicious home-cooked meals. All specific dietary requirements and nutritional needs of residents are catered for.
