Cambuslodge

Cambuslodge opened in 1989. Its objective is to provide a home for adults with learning disabilities, where they can live an ordinary and normal life.
Cambuslodge is privately owned and houses up to five adults with mild learning disabilities. We also have a small dog that has been with us for the last 18 months.

Cambuslodge is based in a Terraced house on a main road close to public transport and shops. There is a library, post office, cinema and shopping centre within walking distance.
There are four floors a back garden with a built in barbecue and fruit trees. The house has five bedrooms, an office, dining room-kitchen, drawing room and two bathrooms, one of them with a built in shower.

There are approximately nine members of staff including a domestic. There is a member of staff doing sleep in and extra day staff from 8 am to 9/10pm according to the needs. There is no waking night staff.
There is one registered manager a deputy and residential support workers some work full time and others part time. We also have some bank staff that covers when there is no cover.
The responsible individual and proprietor of the home also work at Cambuslodge.

Each service user has their own activities programme during the week. The weekends activities are organise together with the residents. Clients are also members of local clubs and discos. There is also an organised holiday once or twice a year.
