Albany House – Bognor Regis is a family run residential care home caring for clients suffering from varying degrees of mental illness this includes Schizophrenia, Bi-polar, Dementia and Depression. The registered manager is Sara Hornsey. It was established in 1984 by Rita Ann Kemp and was initially set up as rest home for elderly clients. In the latter part of the eighties Rita recognized the need to create a homely care setting for younger clients with Mental Health needs, having been encouraged to do so by her son Stephen.
Sadly, Rita passed away in 2001, though left a lasting impact on the home and the clients who fondly remember her. Pippa Solan, Rita’s daughter is now the proprietor of Albany House continuing the family legacy.
