Description:

Elroi Manor

Elroi Manor is a specialist Dementia care home providing 24 hrs personal care and employs qualified carers who are supported by experienced managers. The home provides its residents with a secure, relaxed and homely environment in which their care, well-being and comfort is of prime importance.

From when you first enter the foyer through to the communal spaces Elroi Manor enjoys an authentic homely atmosphere.

Facilities

We provide a welcoming environment in the light and airy dining room on the ground floor, for further details please see our Meal Times page. Alongside the dining room you will find our large communal lounge overlooking the beautiful garden and grounds. It’s a bright, comfortable area where residents can relax, enjoy each others company, read and watch television. We have a large range of books, board games, current magazines and daily papers, as well as a substantial library of dvd’s for our residents to choose from.

It’s the perfect place for our daily activities including musical events, exercise classes, reminiscing, crafts and many other events. Entertainers are invited into the home on a regular basis.

We hope that friendships among residents will develop and that residents will enjoy being part of a community, but there is no compulsion on a resident to join in any communal social activities.

The patio doors lead out to a charming timber-effect covered seating area which adjoins the attractive garden, with further areas for residents to explore, spend time and relax.

For easy access a wheelchair ramp is in place to include residents who are unable to walk about freely.

Accommodation

All 35 private rooms at Elroi Manor are bright, tastefully decorated, fully furnished and have well equipped en-suite facilities along with a call system. Television and phone points are also in each bedroom.

However residents are encouraged, if they wish, to bring their own furniture and personalise to suit, giving it their own homely feel… so it can generally become a ‘home from home’.

Residents are encouraged to continue, wherever possible, and enjoy as wide a range of individual and group activities and interests as possible, both inside and outside the home, to carry on with existing hobbies, pursuits and relationships and to explore new avenues and experiences.
