With views of Wharncliffe Craggs on one side and the Don Valley edging towards Sheffield on the other, Coumes Brook rural setting makes it an ideal place for such a home.

Since 1996

Opened in 1996, after renovation to it’s current purpose as a residential dwelling, the single level building has full disabled access and can accommodate 23 residents in 21 rooms (19 single occupancy, 2 double occupancy).

Managed by Mrs Jill Crookes, the 22 strong dedicated and caring staff team provide support to our residents 24/7 and with health & medical support via our local GP surgery and other essential outside services, you can rest assured you’re in safe hands.

Overall, Coumes Brook Residential Home aims to provide the highest standard of care provision to our clients. We pride ourselves on our well presented home with it’s friendly supportive staff team, where our residents can make their home safe in the knowledge that their requirements, at this stage of their lives are taken care of.

Accommodation

Clients can personalise their room with their belongings to create their own ‘home from home’. A communal lounge with large screen TV and music facilities, large conservatory style lounge with access to veranda/patio seating areas, and an ample sized dining room complete our home’s accommodation space.

Rooms have:

Private en-suite with toilet, sink and shower cubicle (most rooms)
Assistance call points
TV points
Private telephone extension (charges apply)
Sitting area for relaxing/entertaining guests in privacy
Coordinating individual décor as standard

Food

We aim to provide well balanced and nutritional food as standard at Coumes Brook. All meals are prepared freshly each day, on site by our cook and all tastes and dietary requirements can be catered for. We believe food should be attractive, appetising and appealing and we use only the best local suppliers for our products.

We provide:

Three balanced meals each day
Snacks and drinks available at all times
Daily individual service to our clients and choice of meals

We aim to mark all special occasions, and relatives & friends are welcome to dine with you.

Entertainment

Entertainment is arranged on a monthly basis with musicians, singers and magicians being the general theme. Craft sessions and other activities can be arranged and quiz mornings etc are also held.
