Description:
Tudor Cottage
Tudor Cottage is a well respected, family run residential home in Devon, established for over 25 years. The home has been owned by Mrs Sandra Joyce since August 2008. Sandra owns 3 other care establishments and brings a wealth of experience to the home.
With only 19 beds, we offer a warm and welcoming home. At Tudor Cottage we believe life is precious and worth celebrating every day and we offer a home in which you can thrive. Everything we do is designed to enhance the dignity, independence and individuality of the residents. We work with you to achieve your short term and long term goals.
We provide help for those who need some help, with daily activities such as bathing, dressing and medication. We focus on wellness and keeping residents as independent as possible. We also recognise and provide for the special needs of people with dementia. We begin by understanding the life story and details of someone’s life in order that we can help them maximise enjoyment with activities that they enjoy and involve them in daily events that are familiar and enjoyable eg. we have a bread maker which is used as part of the activity programme. Through reminiscence, residents return to the comfort of a place in time that brought them much joy.
