Mayfield Care Home is committed to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the older person of either sex who need full nursing care. The Home provides quality services by caring, competent, qualified staff in a homely atmosphere.

We endeavour to make our residents as comfortable as possible providing 29 rooms (27 singles, 4 of which are en-suite and 2 companion rooms), 2 lounges, 2 dining rooms and a conservatory surrounded by attractive sensory gardens.

Located in a quiet residential area between St. Helens and Prescot.

Accommodation

Mayfield Care Home provides care services for up to 31 people for both male and female clients. All accommodation is provided in 27 single rooms (4 of which are en-suite) and 2 companion rooms.

Residents can bring their own furniture if they wish. There is a TV in every room and a nurse call station.

Accessibility

Mayfield Care Home is wheelchair friendly and provides a lift to access the upper floors.

Kitchen Facilities

The kitchen is managed by the cook and the facilities are built to the standards laid down by the Environmental Heath Department. These facilities are not accessible to residents owing to Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Regulations.Residents can avail themselves of drinks and snacks at most times by requesting these from care staff.

Laundry

Laundry is undertaken within the Home within the normal fees for service. Dry cleaning can be provided at cost plus service charge and can be arranged through matron.

Telephones

Residents have access to a public payphone on the ground floor. Incoming calls, can be taken to the resident, subject to availability of the handset, on the home’s mobile phone.

Residents are allowed to possess their own mobile phone and those wishing to have access to a direct dial phone in their room can have a connection for a small weekly charge.

Local Amenities

The Wellington Public House is only 500m away and a number of local villages have an assortment of shops. St Helens is the nearest main shopping area some 3 miles away. Knowsley Safari Park is 1 mile away.

Available transport – several bus routes stop at the end of Central Avenue travelling to St Helens and Liverpool.
