We are recognised as being a successful and respected care home by putting quality first in everything we do.

• The quality of the care and environment we offer our residents.
• The quality of our staff, their experience and training.

We take quality assurance very seriously and believe in maintaining high standards.

We monitor all services provided, achieving this through ensuring our staff are highly trained at NVQ level, including specialist dementia training. They are also fully aware of our aims and objectives and the national outcomes for the provision of care. We value regular feedback from our residents, their relatives and staff.

Marchfield House offers a full programme of daily activities, organised and offered by our Social Care Activity Coordinator. Our programme is designed to enrich the lives of residents and tailored to their individual needs. Activities are important because they help to build a sense of community in the home. Our home offers company and friendships, bringing with it a sense of belonging to one big family. We welcome the involvement of family, friends, local schools and community groups.

Our aim is to offer a high quality level of specialised care ensuring that with a full activities programme throughout the week, there will be something for everyone, even those residents who cannot fully take part will be visited in their room by our Activities Coordinator on a one to one basis, taking the time to listen and reminisce, as well as helping with activities and pastimes. There will be some residents’ who do not wish to participate, which is absolutely fine.

The programme will reflect the interests of each individual and will include the most popular and enjoyable activities taking into account the views and ideas our residents have expressed.

We regularly organise entertainers and musicians to come to the Home, including our animal friends who are happy to visit us, in exchange for a biscuit! We want all of our residents to enjoy each day as fully as able whatever their needs and abilities.
