Sydenham house is an elegant merchant’s house dating back to the 1850’s, built with the warmth and strength of Forest stone throughout.

From the light and spacious conservatory you can enjoy over half an acre of beautiful gardens with ancient yew trees, colourful beds in season, a summer house and level paths and lawns.

 

 

 

 

 

Rooms

You will have your own quiet, well-lit private room, which is named after one of the great houses of Britain.  Many of the rooms have original fireplaces and ceiling features and are all en suite.

You can surround yourself with your own furniture and personal treasures so you are guaranteed to feel at home.

Accommodation is on three floors accessible by a lift with a full range of access aids to ensure your full mobility.

You even have an easy to use night staff call system for complete peace of mind and security.

Social Life

Your family and friends are free to pop in to see you at anytime from 8am to 10pm and of course at any other time by arrangement.

Optional activities you can enjoy include escorted shopping trips, excursions to the beautiful Forest of Dean, visiting entertainers, fireworks, carols and other seasonal pleasures.

However, if you would prefer to spend your time in private then that is fine too… this is your home to live in as you want to.

Meals

Delicious home cooked meals are prepared in our well-equipped kitchen.  Your individual tastes and dietary needs are our priority and we always use fresh local produce.

The lounge and dining room are warm, airy and tastefully decorated.
