At Dearnlea Park, we aim to go beyond and above the standards everyday, nothing can ever be perfect but there is no harm in trying to be perfect. We have always had a vision of giving back something to those who have given to us, Caring for our residents is at the heart of what we do.

In most care care homes if not all, you should expect that each resident has a care and support plan that is tailored to the resident in order to ensure that they are treat and cared for at the optimum level possible for them as an individual. We have recognised this for 10 years but after asking ourselves the question

“What is it that we can do as a family in order to allow each and every single resident to get the most out of their lives?”

In order to answer this meaningfully we all had to imagine ourselves as residents and to gain an empathic feeling of what it would be like to be a resident. From the carers to the laundrette, none of which walk through the front door only considering this to be a 9-5 job but see it as their own family and home.

Part of our core values here at Dearnlea Park, we strive to not leave anyone out and as a result we don’t, most care homes charge top-up fees but we only charge what is determined by the Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council. There is no compromise in our values or quality of care and support provided to our residents.

Dearnlea Park is a modern and purpose built care home, in the heart of Thurnscoe, Rotherham. We offer accommodation for up to 65 residents, registered with the Care Quality Commission to deliver care and support, to both residential or dementia residents.

At Dearnlea Park , our priority is to make residents feel safe, secure, cared for, welcomed, valued and respected for who they are. We want our residents to feel truly at home, with a comfortable place to live, lots to do, fantastic food and in a place their dignity and privacy is respected at all times.

Our aim is to provide a homely, warm and friendly environment, which is comfortable, clean and safe for all residents and staff. We aim to provide care and support that is personalized on both a short term or long term basis.

The home itself offers spacious and communal lounge areas, all equipped with TV’s, an on site hairdressing room and private family areas. It is surrounded  by a wide range of community facilities such as a local supermarket, GP practice, Dentist, Opticians, Church and Library. The external environment of the home offers a large garden area featuring a water fountain and a spacious patio area.

The quality of accommodation is one of our key foundations at Dearnlea Park, with all bedrooms decorated to a high standard featuring thoughtful color schemes. All bedrooms are spacious and some offer en-suite facilities. Our residents are encouraged to bring their own possessions and furniture, to personalize their bedroom.
