Description:
Magdalene House
Established in 1980 as a residential care home, Magdalene House has undergone continual extensive refurbishments, including a new extension, to convert to a dual registered home whilst remaining under the same family ownership and management. This allows us to cater for a wide variety of needs. Our home for 52 residents has pleasant gardens and is situated in a conservation area close to the amenities of Corporation Park, yet near to shops, churches and library. The atmosphere is relaxed and caring and wholesome food is prepared from fresh produce and appetizingly presented. Various diets can be catered for. Rooms are single and two bedded, the majority with en-suite facilities. All have TVs and nurse-call systems to each bed.
We are proud of the quality of our staff who are always supervised by a trained nurse and are dedicated to providing high standards of care. Our residents are encouraged to join us on visits to the shops, shows and various places of interest, whilst the sick and infirm are nursed with individual loving care. Diversional therapy is provided and visiting entertainers are invited. There are five lounges and two conservatories. All residents have access to a telephone. There is a lift to all floors which can accommodate residents in wheelchairs. The most up-to-date bathing facilities are provided. There are visiting chiropodists, physiotherapists, hairdressers, dentists and opticians. Various ministers call regularly and there are no restrictions on visiting times.
