Kaydar
Kaydar provides three services for adults with learning and physical difficulties: residential, day care and befriending.
Kaydar residential home is staffed 24 hours a day and has enough room for eight people with learning disabilities.
The day centre includes transport to and from home. The centre is based in Blackhill near Consett and offers a wide range of activities including:
- bowling
- art and crafts
- baking
- gardening
- dancing
- drama
- exercise sessions
Their befriending service also includes transport to and from home. If you have a learning disability, befriending can help you to access local services, stay independent and develop relationships outside your home.
