Mere Lodge

Staff at Mere Lodge will strive to preserve and maintain the dignity, individuality and privacy of all service users within a warm and caring atmosphere, and in so doing will be sensitive to the service users’ ever-changing needs. Such needs may be medical / therapeutic (for physical and mental welfare), cultural, psychological, spiritual, emotional and social. We promote strong links with the local community empowering people to access local amenities, public transport and education opportunities where possible enabling social integration and aiding activity of daily living.

We specialise in in providing high quality residential care to meet the assessed needs of adults with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, complex needs, autism and associated challenging behaviours.

We are a small 4 bedroom home that specialise in supporting people with learning disabilities who require 24h support due to their complex needs and/or challenging behavior.

Our experienced and qualified staff members, working in collaboration with local and regional health/social care teams strives to deliver high quality, progressive individualised care within a safe and homely environment.

Our aim is always to promote a way of life for our service users, which enables them to enjoy, to the greatest extent, their rights as individuals. As a team we have proven experience in managing individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviors and our ethos of remaining positive, persistent and consistent will enable individuals with enduring problems to experience the feelings of safety, familiarity and progression that many often haven’t experienced before.

Whilst packages of care and treatment plans are designed to meet the persons individual needs the 24hr support provided by the staff and care team is also supported by the central outreach team who can offer additional and timely support when required e.g. OT, SLT, Psychology & Psychiatry.

As an organisation our highly skilled teams of professionals constantly reflect and review our practice enabling the team to be consistent in the delivery of quality care. We utilise evidence based practice to guide and define modernised care packages.
