Description:
Lannock Manor Mental Health Ltd
Lannock Manor Mental Health Ltd was founded by Mr. Alan McCormack (R.N.L.D) in 2014.
Lannock Manor itself dates back to the 12th century and has historical association with The Knights Templars and King Henry VIII.
It is a Grade II-listed building set within 2.5 acres of it’s own land, situated near the historic village of Weston. Offering easy access to Stevenage, Letchworth, Baldock and Hitchin.
Prior to it becoming a Residential Rehabilitation Unit, Lannock Manor had fallen into disuse for over 5 years, standing alone amongst the country roads of Hertfordshire.
It was with Dedication to his life-long dream of providing a new, responsive and high quality service amidst serene surroundings that kept Alan pushing forward for 2 years of non-stop physical and emotional hard labour with the support of the owners and a small core team of like minded and determined individuals, in order to revive this near-to-derelict building up to it’s current warm, tranquil and comfortable setting.
Lannock Manor offers a bespoke rehabilitation service with 24-hour care for people with enduring mental health illnesses.
Our experienced team aims to assist and support residents to identify and achieve both their short and long term goals in order to enable them to return to more independent and community based living, and where possible achieve gainful employment.
Here at Lannock Manor there is a vision held by all staff to provide individual with not only the support they need to follow their personal journey through Recovery and Rehabilitation, but also to provide new opportunities for them to develop themselves further as they do so. Our passions as a team drive us to forever be Dedicated to the service we provide, whilst allowing us to focus on the True Person and Individual that lies behind the term “Service User.”
Our Goal is to provide a service that is forever responsive to individuals needs and interests, where both Staff and Residents are always learning in order to provide an improved quality of service.
A service that fights against the stigma of Mental Health and Promotes independence as well as the importance of one’s Individuality.
In addition to the 2.5 acres of spacious grounds of Lannock Manor, the unit itself has 10 residential bedrooms (both double and single bedded) all with access to Wi-Fi and with TV connectivity. Lannock Manor also has it’s own Library, Lounge, 2 Dining Rooms, Kitchen, Dual Reception Area, Laundry Room, 3 Bathrooms, Workshop and has an Art/Music Studio currently under development.
