Hollins Bank
Hollins Bank is a friendly care home on the outskirts of Blackpool, but still only 900m from the famous ‘Golden Mile’! It offers excellent care, friendly staff and a cosy, safe environment. We provide care for up to 40 residents, in single and shared rooms over two floors. Communal space is found in three lounges and a dining room.
Residents can get involved in regular activities (see separate page) organised by a dedicated activity co-ordinator, from sensory exercises and movie watching, to music events or seasonal arts and crafts. Hollins Bank is close to local shops and has good public transport links. It is surrounded by garden areas with wheelchair access, so all residents can enjoy spending time outside.
The home has had a chequered past, but under new management there has been nothing but improvement, investment and clear recognition from relevant authorities that this is a genuinely new ‘Hollins Bank’. We have just had our latest CQC inspection and are awaiting results with a quiet confidence.
The home is undergoing an extensive upgrade and refurbishment program, with over £150,000 spent in the last year to add en-suite facilities to many rooms, upgraded laundry, reception area, kitchen facilities, new wet rooms, replacement of many windows and upgraded heating and lighting.
